Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors

I love the garden early morning....
especially pretty today,  a Rose....

Our "Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors"
Rose comes to life each spring.

This is the third year after planting
and it's reached contentment in it's
location.
I gave it a good fertilizing
and sprayed for unwanted disease
not long ago and the results are
pleasing to me and the Rose.

You can see all the variations of
color in this photo....day after day
the Rose color changes.
 The final
color before dying is a dark pink.
Thus, the reason for it's name
"Joseph's Coat Of Many Colors"

Have a beautiful day.....Dee Dee

Red Hibiscus Blooms

The Hibiscus
begins like this.
Overnight....
something quite remarkable happens
to the bud.

At first light the Hibiscus bud opens
completely......

and it's beauty compliments  the
other flowers in the garden....

By now, you might realize most of
my post pertain to flowers.
Lots of
new plants are being added
to the garden
and they will be featured all
summer long
in my blog.

I'm glad you stopped by.
Do have a
blessed Lord's day,
everyone.

New Hibiscus In Garden

I've been wanting to plant Hibiscus in this
location of the garden for quite some time.
After a good rain, and the ground easy to
dig in......I planted a new color and
variety. The
plant is full of buds and should bloom all
summer long.

The blooms last but a single day.... come
nighttime they wither and fall from the plant.

Spring is the most beautiful time of the year.

Have a sweet ole' day, everyone.  Dee Dee

Planting Snapdragons and Zinnias

I love the colors....
white and yellow. Snapdragons
and Zinnias will compliment one
another planted together.
And so it begins....our spring planting!

Looking forward to having fresh
flowers for my kitchen table, all
summer long.

Have a sweet ole' day, everyone.  Dee Dee

Welcome Spring

Pretty Knockout Rose
is blooming away in the garden.
Every shrub has new growth and
the trees are alive with bird song.

"I was reminded the other day," said Stuart,  "that when Saint John
baptized Christ, he was touching God.  An awesome and extraordinary
thing to consider......

Planting Time

I was thrilled today to find white and
gold Zinnias.  These are photos I took
a couple of years ago....same colors
and they were just beautiful the whole
summer long.

My pots are readied and the garden
is beginning to look like spring.....
The Blue Jays and Mockingbirds are
back and soon baby birds will be
learning to fly.

Have a sweet ole' day, everyone.  Dee Dee

Seashells

Gathered seashells from
Honeymoon island
lie on our bistro table.

The first nice warm
day
I'll walk along the
Gulf shores
as a
"shell seeker"
again.

Even in the depth
of winter,
I imagined
 all that would be
beautiful
and
wonderful
come
"Spring"

It is happening now!

Have a blessed day, everyone.  Dee Dee

Laundry

All the elements are exactly right for
hanging laundry today.  Spring sunshine
and slightly cool coastal breezes.

Seems all is well with my world.....

We Drove Along The Gulf Shores

It's springtime in my hometown. Today
the wind coming over the Gulf waters made
me shiver.  I hope we have a few more
days of coolness.  Soon enough Florida
will have hot weather
We found tiny blooms on
the Bougainvillea vines.

The white Egret was busy looking for lizards
and took no notice of my camera clicks.

My favorite photo taken today.....  I love how
the waters' sparkle in the background.

So....enjoying this time of year....

Have a blessed day.....Dee Dee

So Pretty In The Garden

More photos of our Camellias.....
they can speak for themselves
of how beautiful they are.
They've been blooming since the
last of November and now
showing signs of finishing for the
season.  Come spring, and
they go to sleep.
We have been blessed
with their beauty all winter.

Even their leaves are beautiful,
don't you think?

Have a sweet ole' day....Dee Dee
