The Gathering

We had our family "Gathering"  this spring, on an l800's  farm, belonging to our daughter and her very large family.  It's located in upstate New York, nestled in the Adirondack mountains. I have no words to describe the beauty there. We came together for a brief time and discovered what it means to be related. The children found uncles, aunts and cousins.  The men and boys enjoyed skeet shooting and the women folk never lacked for conversation.

We used old tables left in one
of the three barns on the farm.

Wildflowers for the tables....the
meadows were covered with them.

White birch tree is leafing out...

Early spring on the farm. The lilacs were
just budding out in the picture. The gathering
took place in this meadow near the barn.

We've moved from Florida back to our
beloved town in South Carolina.  My postings
will be about my southern life now and time
spent on the farm in the Adirondacks.
