I clipped a few Camellias,
and placed them in
my kitchen window.
While admiring their
exquisite beauty,
I noticed
a stamen covered
with tiny black ants.
What to do?
I held the blooms
beneath the faucet
and washed the ants down
the drain.
The Camellias seemed
pleased, possibly
thinking they had just
experienced a nice
spring rain.
