One has to be pro-active in a
Florida garden.
My white Zinnias were thriving
until recently.
In no time at all, some very
hungry critter
had grown fat from
eating
the leaves on my beautiful
flowers.
A true labor of love,
in the hot sun,
I rescued these favorites
of mine.
I clipped all the damaged leaves
and then
sprayed with a recommended
pesticide.
The flowers look the better now,
for all my efforts,
and I am on guard, should
any pest return!
We had a little cold spell today.
Highs in mid 70's,
and all day long the wind from the north
blew over
our humble abode.
I'm seeing evidence of beautiful
spring weather in the
upper states...and hear the
spring planting is mostly completed.
Have a sweet ole' day, everyone. Dee Dee
