I'm thinking about sheep today.
I purchased a bag of freshly
sheared wool....black with
tiny bits of grey for a Christmas project.
I'll be making
small black sheep for our
manger scene, and
tucking a few of the woolly guys into
Christmas gifts.
Who doesn't like sheep?
The camera liked the
sheep at the Farmers Museum in
Cooperstown, New York.
So did I.
The sheep's in the meadow and the cows
in the corn......
And oh how I wanted to be like
Mary. She had a lamb who's
fleece was white as snow. The best
part was she brought the lamb to
school one day and made the children
laugh and play .......
and then there was a.....
Bah Bah black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full. One for
the master, one for the dame, one for the
little boy who lives down the lane......
We memorized this as children. Little did
we know they were words of protest
against unfair taxation on wool.
Who would have known?
Thinking good and happy thoughts! Dee Dee
