Think On This

The marvelous richness of human experience
would lose something of rewarding joy if
there were not limitations to overcome.
The hilltop would not be half so wonderful
if there were no dark valleys to traverse.
~Helen Keller

Think of this a while and share it with
friends having difficult times.
 Lots of folks
hurting out there....health issues....
dealing with loss of loved ones.
If God brings them to it,
encourage them that
 He will bring them
through it.

Keeping the faith......Dee Dee

I Wonder

We all do it, you know.
We survey our world, usually
with one quick glance,
often times missing lovely and
beautiful details.
There's a small coastal village, not
far from our home, it is there
the Mister and I take leisure walks.
On this day, I took photos of the
obvious.......later observing
much that is so beautiful in
my part of the world.

I wonder.....who might have passed
this way before, and how
many and whose footprints
were left there.
One can only imagine how old this
tree might be, the laughter heard and
words spoken
 in this
very place.

Have a sweet ole' day, everyone.  Dee Dee

Lavender and Purple In The Garden

I know what your thinking.
Not again with the
 Crape Myrtle's Dee Dee!!
Just can't help myself......
what with all the rain,
these beautiful clusters of flowers
 are most impressive.
Mid-day found me making my way
through tall Nandina
plants and Philodendron branches
to get up close to
the Myrtle blooms.
I managed to get close enough to the blooms
 toward the ground,
and that was where the filtered light
allowed for some very
nice photos.

This plant, new to our garden
this summer
 is just so beautiful!
It seems feminine to me.....
lady like and gentle.
 I couldn't
be more pleased.

These images....same Crape Myrtle tree.....
one has sunlight and
the other filtered sunlight,
giving them
slightly different color.
I like very much both photos.

Today we worship.
 Lots of concern for family,
friends and country.
 I'm reading The Harbinger
again.  It is so current
and right on message for
these times.
 Suggested read for everyone......

Asking God's good blessings ......
for each of you.  Dee Dee

Last June

Last June our pink Desert Rose was in full bloom.
This year, we've had rain almost every day......
I suppose too much for the desert flower,  accustomed
to our Florida hot dry climate.

Last July pink Periwinkle were blooming in our garden pots.

Last July Mockingbirds were everywhere......this little
fellow was very curious of me.

Busy Saturday planned.....hope your weekend is
especially nice.....Dee Dee

Celebrating Independence Day

Posterity
"You will never know what it cost the present
generation to preserve your freedom.  I hope you
will make good use of it." ~John Quincy Adams

God bless America, land that I love, stand
beside her and guide her....
On July 4, 1776, we claimed our
independence from
Great Britain and Democracy was born.

Continuing to pray for America while
asking God to have mercy on us all.
Happy 4th of July! Dee Dee

Living Slowly

God help us to live slowly;
To move simply;
To look softly; Amen

Hibiscus

We had a house full of company last week, and I
wanted desperately for our Hibiscus to bloom while
they were visiting.  One double orange bloom is all
the plant produced.  This morning, bright and early
we found numerous gorgeous Hibiscus blooms.....

The wonderful rains we've been getting has a whole lot
to do with such large and beautiful blooms.....
I sprayed for pests and fertilized with an organic product
and the plant seems pleased......

They grow between two tall palm trees......

Lovin' all that nature provides.......pretty, don't you think?

Have a wonderful week.....Dee Dee
