The Country Bunny
and The Little Gold Shoes
The little girl Cottontail grew up to be a
young lady Cottontail. And by and by
she had a husband and then one day,
much to her surprise there were twenty-one
Cottontail babies to take care of.

Way off there in the distant land, was old,
wise, kind Grandfather Bunny.
And he smiled at her and he said,
"You are not only wise, and kind, and swift,
but you are also the bravest of all the bunnies.
And I shall make you my very own
Gold Shoe Easter Bunny."
