I'm seeing a little sparkle
in the eyes of my grandchildren
these days. They visited
the "man in red" at the mall,
each reading to him
their list of wanted
and hoping
to receive..... toys.

I've imagined him looking into
the eyes of a child, who's describing
that special toy.
I like the whole idea of
a goodly man,
jolly in spite of himself,
bringing toys to children.
