A Busy Butterfly

Every spring I gravitate
to this particular spot.
There's
just something beautiful
about a rustic white picket
fence and fuchsia
Bougainvillea climbing all
over it.....
At low tide,
you can see the remains of an
old pier...in the Gulf waters.
This is indeed, a lovely place to
use a camera....
The neighborhood of older
Florida style homes, sit directly
on the waters edge.
I love, that the road separating
them from the Gulf of Mexico,
is dirt and  viciously pot-holed.  Seems
quaint and original, somehow.

One would think nothing could
make the Bougainvillea look any
prettier, but something did, as
you can see.  How does the butterfly
keep it's wings fluttering at such
a fast pace?
Sadly my camera cannot focus at
such a high rate of speed.

So, what we have here is.....
a Dee Dee style, "paint-shop"
enhanced  butterfly,
who is busily
soaking up the sunshine perched
on a lovely Bougainvillea blossom.

Happiness is as a butterfly, which,
when pursued, is always beyond
your grasp, but which, if you will sit
down quietly, may alight upon you.
~Nathaniel Hawthorne
