Lovely And Unusual Growth

This morning I was hanging
 the laundry and the Mister
was trimming and thinning out
a large cluster of palm trees,
in the garden.
As he clipped away, palm
fronds falling  to the ground,
he discovered something quite
unusual looking growing on the trees.
Notice the pod hanging from the palm
in this photo..........

Hidden beneath all the growth, was something
lovely and actually quite  beautiful.

We had found delicate stems of berries,  some in the beginning
stages of blooming. It will be interesting to see
how they develop.

The trimming is now completed, and all the
excessive growth is cleared away. Very soon, this
portion of the garden will have a new look.
Our new plants will  be drought
resistant.  We're thinking a nice variety
of Crotons and lovely pink Mandevilla
to cover the fence.
When their buds burst open,
you see for yourselves and know
that summer is now near.
