Toile de Jouy

One of the niceties of having a kitchen/dining on
the east side of the cottage, is the morning
sun streaming  through the windows....
precisely through my
" toile de jouy" curtains.  The fabric style toile,
originating in France, is one of my favorites, and
the curtains seen here, were actually made by myself.
The fabric suits  the cottage decor, having a
white background on which is a repeated
pattern depicting  a pastoral scene.
I couldn't resist this early morning photo
inclusive of the large bowl of crisp red
apples.
Left over from the night before.....
healthy healthy....
apples were thinly sliced and served
with tiny pots of warm caramel.
Parental approved,
they were not only delicious
 but nutritious treats to be
 served in anticipation of
 certain little trick or treaters.
